Katie Haney has been the pastor at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church for six years. This is her first pastorate following graduation from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary in May, 2002 with a Masters of Divinity degree. Prior to attending seminary, Katie was a business recruiter for the Spokane Economic Development Council. In that capacity, she worked with companies throughout the country in their expansion and relocation efforts. Previously, she served as marketing director for a computer software company specializing in medical practice management systems. In addition to being active as a lay leader in her church, Katie has worked as a dental assistant, real estate appraiser, ski instructor, marketing assistant, medical receptionist and coordinator of volunteers. She holds a BS in Forestry from Washington State University and has worked for the U.S. Forest Service and the Forestry Department of the Pierce County Assessor’s Office. Katie enjoys outdoor activities such as running, water and snow skiing, kayaking, tennis, biking, boating, and camping, as well as indoor hobbies like playing the piano, reading, writing, card stamping, cooking, sewing and watching good movies. Katie and her husband Bob have three children and six grandchildren, who also provide ample diversions. |

Grace Barker, as longtime church secretary, is a mainstay of each commissioned church body, as well as of the entire congregation. Having served under seven Sunnyside Presbyterian ministers, she is, and has been, an invaluable asset to the church. |
